I am picking up my Cadillac DTS in the morning. I am so excited! I do not know what color it will be. Check out the color options and let me know what color you think it will be. Tell you tomorrow.
Well I am on my way. The Cadillac DTS is Vanilla Latte. That is an off white. I have only driven a few miles so far, but this is going to be a great weekend. I'll keep you posted.
We drove to Tampa to watch the Ducks Beat the Lightning. It was a great game. The Ducks won in a shoot of 2 to 1. This car is one of the best riding cars I have ever driven. Thank you for the comments and keep them coming.
We went and saw the Phantom of the Opera in Orlando last night. I took My wife for our 4th anniversary. We had a great time. The show was very good. The ride over was smooth and comfortable. My family loves this car.
We went to my niece's birthday party yesterday. She turned 5 years old. She was so excited when she was opening her presents. Now it is back to work. I only get to drive the Cadillac for two more days. Bummer! Please keep the comments rolling in for our charity. Thank you to all who have written in.
Well this my last day with this Cadillac DTS. This car has everything. I have seen heated seats before but this car has three different temperatures of heat. It also has cooling seats. After about 3 to 5 minutes of having the cooling seats on it feels like you are sitting on a refrigerator. One of the features I like most about the Cadillac is the parking sensors in front and rear. Last night I was able to use the parking sensor in the front when it was raining and I felt comfortable with the distance between me and the vehicle that was taking up part of my space. Being 6'03" tall it is hard to find a vehicle that has enough leg room. I had more then enough leg room in the Cadillac DTS. I was even able to move the seat forward and still be comfortable. The most fun feature is the remote start. Besides people telling me that the like my car everywhere I go. It is neat to see their faces when the car starts with nobody in it. Most of all, it makes my driveway look nice.
Please get your last comments in. I have to return this Beautiful Cadillac in the morning and the clock stops. We want to be able to give to a charity. So everybody let me know what charity WE will be giving to.

Who cares the color, it's a caddy! Well done and keep up the work, Thank you for what you do for us all.
ReplyDeleteYou look good driving that - but don't get too comfortable - the twins car seats seem to be well established in the minivan!
ReplyDeleteHey Matt Congrats on winning the award. I know you will enjoy the new ride even if it is only for a week. Hope you got the red one.
ReplyDeleteNancy
You are most deserving of the award and recognition, Matt. I cannot tell you how proud I am that you are my nephew. Grandpa Van Tronk was so happy you followed in his footsteps. I think he always knew it was right for you.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck,
Aunt Mary & Mik
(p.s. To the dealer: If Matt hits 100 blogs, can you sweeten the pot? It's for charity and would really be nice.)
Congratulations, Matt -- enjoy the Cadi and all the great gifts that came with it.

Glad you had a great night last night. It was kind of nice having the house all to myself!! LOL Can't wait to see where we take that Caddy tonight, soooo excited!!
ReplyDeleteMatt, you are following in a line of good Police Officers. I am sure Your grandfather, great gradfather VT AND Uncle Nick are looking down and saying 'that's our boy'. Congratulations - Aunt Nan
ReplyDeleteMatt,
ReplyDeleteI am April's sister. Reading the other blogs, apparently you have earned this. A Caddy in any color is nice, and the vanilla latte was a great choice. Good luck with your comments.
Matt is a great father, husband and Police Officer. It is a honor and privledge to be able to call him friend and cousin. Thank you for all you do everday.
ReplyDeleteErik
Congratulations again Matt, you are most deserving of this honor and many more. You work very hard to keep us all safe. Thank you Officer Minaberry!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!Have a great time driving the Cadi. My mom has one and by far is the most comfortable car to drive around town and especially long trips. Enjoy and stay safe! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteMatt took his Mom "for a ride"! Nice car and smooth ride. I have to say that Matt seemed happy with the choice of a "cool seat" as well as "heated". It was a little unusual for me to get to sit in a car with him and no little pink and blue car seats were involved!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud - I guess you can tell.
I loved the ride over to Orland in the car, but the ride back was even better. The front seats have a cool seat feature. I think they must have shut the air conditioning off for the second half of the play, because it got really hot in there. When we got back to the car I turned on the cool seat button and it was AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is nice that Matt is allowed a new Cadillac for a week. It is a nice gesture to show this type of appreciation for a well deserving officer.
ReplyDeleteRW
When we went to Orlando the other day, we passed my parents on the way home and was honking and waving, of course they thought we were stalkers or something because they didn't recognize the car, LOL!! I had to call their cell phone to let them know it was us :)
ReplyDeleteI think a dark purple caddy would be nice....people drive in pink, so why not purple!!
ReplyDeleteSWEET!!!!! Awesome Job!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Matt! You deserve this more than
ReplyDeleteanyone I know. It is a pleasure working with you, as it has been for these past years. I am very glad that Ritchey Cadillac has allowed you to sample a very fine product. As a fan of GM Performance products, I wish I could drive a new Caddy! But, I have the first cousin, Corvette, to run by the DTS, CTS models. Enjoy the ride, brother, you are a lucky guy! Hello to Andrea and the Kids!
George
Awesome idea. I'm glad you're taking the time to do something great for charity!
ReplyDeleteWell Deserved indeed!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Matt!! Glad to hear you're riding in style. I vote for black!
ReplyDeleteTiff :)
I think you should have a bright blue.Congrats.MattGrandma Ruth
ReplyDeleteGreat job Matt and nice cadillac!
ReplyDeleteSt. Judes or the Ronald Mcdonald house would be great to give to.
ReplyDeleteHey Matt, Great job as always. I agree either ST Jude's, Ronald MacDonald House or The Childrens Cancer Society in Deland.
ReplyDeletenice car
Keep up the good work for next year. We would enjoy a in a 11 caddy.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until next year
Hey Matt, I think the charity should be for St Jude's, its a great organization. Good Luck
ReplyDeleteI think that a good charity to donate to would be the Boy Scouts of America. This is and has been a worthy charity deserving of contributions.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Matt. You truly deserve the recognition for your actions.
ReplyDeleteTony
Congrats to Matt - great motor officer and hard worker - keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being South Daytona's motor officer. You help creat safety among our community. Good job.
ReplyDeleteCheatman
St. Jude's or the Ronald Mcdonald House would be deserving of contribution considerations.
ReplyDeleteThe funniest part of having the car was pulling into the softball field and grabbing our gear out of the trunk of a Caddy. I tell ya this car has at least a three body trunk!! LOL Lots of space! We could have fit the whole team's gear in the back!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!! You truly deserve the recognition for your actions.
ReplyDeleteKayla
Congrats Uncle Matt I hope you win.
ReplyDeleteLove Kristen
Congrats!!! I am proud to say that you are a part of our family. I think either ST Jude's, Ronald MacDonald House or The Childrens Cancer Society worthy of getting the contributions.
ReplyDeleteI want a ride in the Caddy.
Love April
Congratulations on the award, Matt -- it is certainly well deserved! Good luck on getting more comments.
ReplyDeleteJeff
Too bad you have to give it back, great ride while it lasted huh? Now it's time to save so you can buy your own or maybe the twins will be doctors and buy you and Andrea matching ones!
ReplyDeleteDK
Congratulations Matt, Im sure glad you did not get hurt, and you were able to go home to your family.
ReplyDeleteSkylar wants to say that she is very proud of her uncle and she loves you very much!!! You made her birthday fabulous!!!
ReplyDeletematt, I just want you to know how proud I am to call you family and even luckier to call you friend. Erik
ReplyDeleteI think that St. Jude's would be a great beneficiary
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Matt, this is a great cause and I am glad you were given this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteRobin
Yeah it was sweet to roll up to the ball field last night in the caddy.
ReplyDeleteErik
Great job, I wish departments had more people like Matt to watch over us.
ReplyDeleteAfter all these years in law enforcment and now you can return the favor to charity. Thanks Matt.
ReplyDeleteMatt
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear you are enjoying the cadillac, very descriptive features. We could use those heated seats up here while staying in the mountains.
Now that you have driven the cadillac, any decision on trading the mini van for the cadillac? I remember seeing you in your first vehicle, I think they call it a bicycle.
Also we need more people like you out there protecting us. Good cause, as long as we know the money goes for a good cause that makes us feel good.
ReplyDeleteContinue to doo a great job, we are proud of you.
Debbie and Bill
Thank you for being a great Police officer for South Daytona, they are very fortunate to have such an honorable man like you to keep their city safe!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had this opportunity to drive such a special car. I know you loved it! Again: I Am so glad for you son.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Matt, well deserved recognition. {You've grown alot since I first met you). Nice feeling to be driving such a nice car.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we will be trading in the minivan just yet. Although the Cadillac has lots of space in it, we still need the additional row of seats. Little Matt can't fit in the back seat between two car seats. Maybe the SUV Caddy though???? Lets give that some thought, :)
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say one more time how proud I am of you Matt. I am glad we got this opportunity to ride in such a nice car. It was fun! Now lets just hope we win this for charity! Love you.
ReplyDeleteTrudy said,
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you! I'm glad I was able to be there to watch you accept your award. You deserve every second of driving in that caddy. Keep up the good work! Dedicated police officers like you make my job easier....thank you!!
Matt, you do a good job well deserved, enjoy the ride.
ReplyDeleteI saw you on the news that night and I read the article in the paper. What a great guy!
